Group Training Sessions

Training in a group is a great way to socialize your dog, as well as provide confidence building opportunities, while you work.

The Initial Session is a 60 minute group discussion (owners only – no dogs) on what I expect from owners and what behaviors owners would like to work on in the sessions. From the discussion we will set up a training plan and break it down into 6-10 hour long sessions.

Training Sessions will include a 10 minute Q&A period/40 minute technique training/ 10 minute Q&A period. At the end of each session, you will get homework assignments to work the objectives at home using techniques learned in class. Please be committed to complete these assignments or you will be wasting your time and money.

Fees

6-Weeks     Beginners Training (to learn skills & techniques)    $55

8-Weeks     Basic Training (must have Beginners first)             $75

10-Weeks   Advanced Training (must have Basic first)             $100

Private Training Sessions

The Initial Session is a 90 minute consultation to discuss your objectives, training skills, and your dog’s history. Work will begin during this session, so bring along your water bottle and wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You will need a buckle collar, 6-foot lead, treats and water for your dog. A personal training plan will be provided with homework to meet your specific training objectives at the end of this session. You will be expected to complete homework assignments after each session to continue on to the next objective. Please be committed to complete these assignments or you will be wasting your time and money.

Training packages include

• Puppy Basics (house training, crate training, chewing, manners)
• Basic Manners (sit, down, come, walk on loose leash, get off)
• Basic Obedience/Formal Obedience (basic manners taken to the next level)
• Basic Agility (A-Frame, Dog Walk, Open Tunnel, Broad Jump, Pause Box)
• Confidence Building (for shy, fearful, or anxious dogs)
• Clicker Training (learn to use a clicker)
• Custom Training (tailored to meet your objectives)

At-Home Training

Not enough time in the week to attend a class? Don’t want to work your dog away from home? Then At-Home Training might be the perfect option for you.

The trainer will work with you to train your dog, at your home, on a scheduled basis that fits your busy schedule. You will be expected to complete homework assignments after each session to continue on to the next objective. Please be committed to complete these assignments or you will be wasting your time and money.

• At Home Basic Package includes one 90 minute Initial Consultation and five 30-minute training sessions at your home for $250.
• At Home Advanced Package includes one 90 minute Initial Consultation, one 60-minute Coaching Session midway through the training, and ten 30-minute training sessions at your home for $500.

Service Area

Homes within 20 miles of Newberry. A mileage charge (50/mile over 20 miles) will apply for training outside the service area.

Lodging/Training Packages

While living at the kennel, your dog will receive training on a list of behaviors we agree upon in advance. You will receive one 90-minute coaching session, at the end of the program, at your home to familiarize you and your family the commands and techniques your dog learned to allow you to continue improving those behaviors at home.

Training packages include:

Fees

Dependent upon behaviors selected for training, length of lodging (standard rates apply), and level of competency desired. Please call to discuss your needs.

Formal training classes are highly recommended for ongoing maintenance of trained behaviors, socialization, and to build a strong relationship with your dog.

Group Sessions or Play Dates are very beneficial for socialization and exercise.
